Is it legal to stay in the U.S. after you sneak in without a visa?

I know it is illegal to enter the U.S. without a visa, but after you are north of the border is it legal to stay?

Gingrich says there are all these illegal imigrants who may have violated a law to get here, but since then they have been working hard at a job they stole from an American and obeying the law.

If it is illegal for them to be here, are they not breaking the law 24 hours a day 7 days a week?

It is a criminal act to overstaying your visa like many professionals do that come into the country on work visas and don't go back. It is against the law to come here if you have not fallowed the law as required by law of the USA. No immigrant is stealing jobs. That is a red flag that brings attention to its racist author. Gingrich, for those who prefer to here the truth, said he didn't think Americans would support dividing families who have worked here for many years have homes and families, pay taxes and do not have criminal records. He was making reference to illegal people who have lived here decades and are a strong pillar in the community.

You know exactly what he said but you prefer to spread your false hateful message. What do you get out of lying about others. I feel sorry for your meaningless life.

Entering any country without proper visa is illegal, why just USA ? ......... but when so many involve in illegal act, the govt loses control over people and then the Govt is forced to give in and change or relax the law ... this is called ' compounded offence '

They are called illegal aliens. Illegal means against the law. No matter what they are doing or no matter how much they fallow the law. My grandparents came to this country from Europe through Ellis island. Someone coming to this country illegally demeans what they did
