area of a circle = πr²
area of a semi circle = πr²/2
r = ½ diameter = 7.5
area of semi circle of which the diameter is 15
= π(7.5)²/2
= approximately 88.357 square units
that's it! ;)

Area of circle= radius squared times Ï
= 7.5² • Ï
= 56.25 Ï
= 176.71458...
Then divide by 2 because it's only a semicircle
= 88.357...
= 88.4 to three sig figs
