Help! I HATE my new bedroom?

Sorry to say this but, welcome to the real world. When you don't own it, or have a job to contribute to the household mortgage or bills you don't get much say in what or how your parents can do things. You did say "annoying oriental theme", so that is your parent choice and selection.

I'm sure your room won't be ugly, but it won't really express your taste and personality much.

When you get your own place, you can do what ever you want, but until then parents rule the house.

I am not sure what you are looking to find as an answer for this. Are you looking for help to decorate your room? buying new furniture? redesign your room?

Some tips for you:

+Decide if you want to do it urself or get someone to do it and pay them

+Get help from handy friends (you sound like a girl so I assume you can easily ask guy's friend to help you with it)

+If you are looking for new furniture, I highly recommend IKEA since they are known for cheap/stylist/reasonable price furniture and free shipping

Some simple step you can take to make your room look better:

+Do you like your wall color? (if you do, great, if not, paint it, not as hard as you think, very easy to do by self and low cost)

+Furniture, what do you need/want in your room? (computer desk?bed?mattress?Tv stand?closet?)

+Decoration, look around online for some decoration (stuffed animal?banner?pictures?symbol?)

+Make a plan (one step at a time, focus in one things, dont jump between your room and living room, kitchen)

You sound spoiled. If your room isn't ready yet, then it obviously isn't going to look that way forever. Paint the walls, get your own furniture.

you should ask your parents for some extra $$ and then go out to the store buy some room stuff and kinda re decorate and make it the best you can! sorry to hear about that good luck (:

Have a collection of your hobby so you will see shelves of your collection instead what you have now.

Tell your parents or whoever you're staying with that you would like to redecorate it......

Go be homeless instead, nature is plenty beautiful, go live in it.
