why are women in Saudi Arabia treated so badly compared to men?

Men are treated just as badly in those countries too, unless they have lots of money and economic status which is something that the majority don't have.

Both women and men are tortured and raped in these countries on a daily basis.

It's a religious thing. Those countries tend to be theocracies not democracies (meaning they're rules by religion) and Islam is a rather misogynistic religion I'm sad to say. Whilst western countries developed so that no religion would dictate it's laws those countries did the opposite, its laws are based on the teachings of the Islamic religion which though it's supposed to be a peaceful religion falls short at equality (sadly like a lot of religious doctrines).

Because that country is HELL on earth. full stop.

It is possibly one of the most dispicable countries in the eastern world (and that says a lot).

It is paradise on hearth for many "males" in this forum. I wish they would move there.
