How do I get rid of Farmville?

Ok, I tried farmville on my facebook page and to be quite frank with you I don't find it amusing in the least!

None the less I end up with all kinds of requests and what not and I would really like to unsubscribe from farmville and simplify my facebook page from all the hoopla...

Please tell me how to unsubscribe from Farmville, I have looked but it seems there must be a trick or hidden place to do this...Thanks :-)

    Click on the more next to apps on the homepage and hit remove app. This should work
