Sounds like the engine has seized on you. before you condemn the engine, remove the belts to remove any drag on the engine and crank it over again to see if this helps. If it works, then check for a seized water pump or alternator. Ive seen this happen quite a few times already. If it does not work, then remove the plugs and try again, if that does not work, then see if you can get a socket on the crankshaft bolt and try turning the engine by hand, if you can spin the engine, it is free, but if you cant, then then engine has seized on you.

I would check that there is voltage getting to the starter relay or solenoid when the key is turned first. If not check the ignition switch, then the wire going to relay or solenoid. I would also make sure that the engine is firmly grounded to the battery, The body needs to be also. Is the battery fully charged? That may be the problem as sometimes it is not fully charged when you buy it.

check if their is current flowing from your ignition key to the starter relay/solenoid switch. If not replace your starter or you can "do it yourself"to overhaul and replace the carbon brass on it.>it"s the usual problem on the starter......I hope your engine is not frozen/stock,,,,
