Your opinion on the following theory?
Sexism- gender inequality that benefits men
Chivalry- gender inequality that benefits women
@ top contributor (i don't see a screen name for you) I agree that chivalry is still a form of sexism towards women, but very few people complain about unfair treatment that works in their favor. Like when someone is promoted for shady reasons they complain, but when the same happens to them, well... shut up.
However, since when did they change the ACTUAL definition in the dictionary? This wasn't Webster was it?

I disagree with your first one on sexism. Why? Because women and men can both be sexist and it can be detrimental to both genders.
Your second one only benefits women if they let it.
So maybe you're half right. :p

Yes, the dictionaries have been feminized. Sexism used to mean differential treatment based on gender. Chivalry would have been seen as sexism and proving that not all sexism is bad. Now dictionary show that sexism means discrimination against women.

There is negative sexism against men that isn't chivalry. There are people who think you are nothing more than an animal trying to get women to touch your penis by any means necessary.

Although facets of both are inevitably necessary for social courtesy in Western cultures, sexism has a bad wrap and it should be minimized because men are already a majority group, and have the advantages.

I disagree. Everything today benefits women. There are no longer any advantages for men.
