They can sometime navigate their way back home, if they are no to far from their home. But for sheep they have higher IQ than cows. There was a research done and the sheep can recognize the field that they are used to. I can't the same for cows since no research has been done on them

Sheep have no sense whatsoever. They have a brain but don't use any of it. They have been bred to be eaten and they are good at that and nothing else. That is why they find dead sheep all the time, they go move some direction and fall off a hill and die. If you ever see a sheep go up to it and look in its eyes. You will see "the lights are on but no one is home" must have been made to describe them because you can tell there is zero intelligence behind the eyes. They are like Zombies, just meat moving around with no real life behind it. Even mice and cockroaches have more sense than a sheep.
Cows will return to a barn at night. They aren't intellectual giants either though.

There isn't much point asking that question- because nobody can prove an answer. You'd need to sit a cow down and have a chat- ain't gonna happen :)

Yes. They can return home on their own even if they are taken to a place they've not seen before and left there.
