What are good foods to eat the day after you get your wisdom teeth removed? HELP!?
I just got my wisdom teeth removed this morning and so far have had a small strawberry milkshake from McDonalds, applesauce, yougurt and tomato soup. What else can I eat? I don't like mashed potatoes, I have a lot of veggie soups but I heard the veggies can get stuck in the surgery site. Can I eat mac n cheese and pasta? I would call my surgeon and ask all these questions but i have already called him twice today and don't want to bug him with any more questions so I thought I would get other people's opinions who have been through the same thing.
Roughly about how long does it take to recover?
Why can't you be physically active for a week? (that's what my doc said)

I had all four of mine removed same time, 2 cut out, 2 pulled. Its sore for a couple of days but I did not even take my Loratabs given by doctor. Potatoes are good but you dont like those, maybe sweet potatoes? I actually ate cheese pizza the same day, just took small bites and chewed with front teeth, kinda awkward but I was hungry. Although not recommended, you can eat the mac and cheese if you are careful, you just have to chew in front of your mouth. The food will stick behind you front teeth like you have never experienced, but you are allowed to brush your teeth. Maybe a week to recover. Abstaining from physical activity is a generic rule after any surgery, even oral. You do not want to do anything that could cause your jaw to get hit, including jumping. I had surgery on Friday, went back to work on Monday and aside from no steak or solid meat, was completely normal. Hope this helps. PS, the holes where the teeth used to be took about a month to heal up for me, but like I said did not really hurt.

pasta, oatmeal, cottage cheese, ice cream, anything soft. You should feel fine in a day or 2,
sometimes 3, but the extraction sites may take a couple weeks to heal up. And you can
be physically active when you feel up to it and you aren't on pain pills any more. Drink plenty
of fluids so you don't dehydrate.
