After decades of waiting for the trickle down economics to work why do you keep promoting it? don't you think?

why do we keep on arbitrarally giving them tax breaks? don't you think a sort of stick and carrot approach would work better and work to sew up the loopholes? Say if a company would like to apply for a tax break he must first increase his employees buy a certain percentage according to his profits or if a company relocates a manufacturing plant to the us and hires a certain amount of emplyees or maybe if a company wants to expand but cannot find enough skilled employees he could quallify for a tax break if he starts an apprenticeship program. the list is endless but if we just give them tax breaks they've already proven that they will just bank it, hide it, or give their execs. bonuses with it

first....your insistence on using the biased "trickle down" term and other details of your "question" indicate you have little idea what, exactly, is being promoted.

second...look around you and understand that computers, mobile phones, big-screen TVs and a host of other things you likely consider "middle-class necessities" all existed when Ronald Reagan took office in 1981....only they were reserved for the ultra-wealthy.

now what made them accessible to you today? the demands of a lot of people, or the capital investment that allowed companies like Intel, Microsoft and Apple to make the US a global leader again.....until, of course, Clinton made it more profitable for them to move their operations overseas...

    you're welcome
