Spiritually speaking, have you added anything new to 'the debate'?

Have you come up with any truly original ideas or arguments related to the question or nature of the existence of gods? I'm sure you realize the vast majority of what is found in this section is old hat but have you contributed anything fresh and new?

BQ: Have you seen something someone else (on here) had written that you thought was rather innovative?

Update:

Actually there have been some new ideas presented in the last couple years. As far as I've been able to determine Daniel Quinn was the first to suggest the link between the story of Adam and Eve and the Agricultural Revolution.

What about the idea that the Bible's take on sexual morality is an expression of an aggressive political program to maximize population growth?

Or that the story of Jesus represented a shift from understanding life as something cyclical (death means life for something else) to something linear (we get to live forever) to further distance ourselves from the natural world.

Sweetheart there is nothing new under the sun.

And you can't fight an age old argument with new innovative arguments or original ideas. It is the same as what has been said since the beginning. God is the original idea, not I. You will either believe or not. There will be no convincing, I can express my views and they may make someone think and explore but I will never convince anyone. That is the job of the Holy Spirit and if He can use my words, Praise God. But I am not going to present any arguments, just say it as I have learned and interpreted.

Whenever I ask something original, my Question is either Deleted or Quarantined.

Sometimes I have prepared a Stem-Winding, Multiple-Warhead- Depleted Plutonium Answer that will knock Electrons off the brains of Atheists, where smoke would come out of their ears after reading it- and then find that the Question was "Resolved." Last time this happened, the Question had only been up for 15 minutes!

I haven't read anything new or interesting about the existence of God on this forum. I did read an interesting article on how absence of evidence *is* evidence of absence on lesswrong.com. In that article, an AI researcher defined evidence in Bayesian terms, then applied Bayes' Theorem to show how an absence of evidence actually does decrease the conditional probability of a claim being true. When I extend that argument to God, the results are unsurprising.

You'd be amazed at how many seemingly intelligent people refuse to accept the mathematics. They'd rather stick with what they think Carl Sagan said in "The Demon Haunted World:" that absence of evidence being evidence of absence is an appeal to ignorance fallacy, which is in fact not true mathematically or by virtue of the definition of the term "appeal to ignorance fallacy."

There is nothing new that anyone can add to the debate. All one can do is clarify people's thinking, correct their misguided ideas and help them to think for themselves and not be fed the pablum of the masses. I think that most of the comments are rude and insulting to the questioner. Even if the questioner is "trolling" they should be given the respect a "true" questioner has.

Education is the key, not indoctrination.

Every time I ask an original question, Yahoo seems to delete it.
