What are the requirements to sending a package to Mexico?

I am wanting to send a package of Christmas presents to my grandma in Mexico (Guadalajara) and I want to know how I can go about this. I would like to know the criteria and restrictions to sending packages so as to not waste my time, money, and effort in sending a package that will not send.

    There are no special requirements. Just do not put food in the package. If you send it by the post office , it can easily take several weeks. If you send it by Fed-ex or DHL, it will get there in a few days, will not be lost, but is expensive.
