Top Gun: how do you rank Viper, Jester, Maverick, and Iceman?
If they were in a dogfight against each other, who would win and why? Where would they rank?
I personally think Iceman would be #1. He wouldn't fall for Maverick's "brake" maneuver, he would wait until Maverick became over anxious and made a mistake. He also has the patience to beat Viper, even though Viper may be a superior pilot and has the experience. While Jester has experience, Iceman is a superior pilot to him.
Just my opinion. What do you think?
Oh I forgot to add, the plaque for the alternates is down in the ladies' room.

1. Viper (he's the CO for a reason, and neither Maverick NOR Iceman ever got him)
2. Iceman (he has a cooler head than Maverick and he bagged Jester LEGALLY)
3. Maverick (even thouh he's a punk ***, he did bag Jester AFTER he went below the hard deck and called no joy).
4. Jester (he got nailed by two students, how good can he be?).

Never in your life would Iceman beat Viper! Iceman may be cool and calm, but Viper's experience would cause him to use that against Iceman.

I don't rate any of them. This film depicts unrealistic and not very good Combat Pilots. In the real world combat pilots work as a team. It is and never should be a competition. These so called "Pilots" wouldn't last five minutes in today's "Real World" As usual, (whilst the film was enjoyable) there are too many mistakes in most of the flying scenes. Come on America, why can't you show it as it really is?
