Firefox 7.02 sec_error_bad_signature error HELP!?
Hi. This morning I cleared my FF 7.02 history, selecting the "everything" option. Since then, I can't login to anything that requries a secure connection. I get:
An error occurred during a connection to login.yahoo.com.
Peer's certificate has an invalid signature.
(Error code: sec_error_bad_signature)
I'm completely lost -- this same error for ANYTHING. Ebay, Yahoo, Google, Amazon -- they all fail. Even "Firefox sync" fails with "unknown error".
using IE: No problems.
Setting browser.xul.error_pages.expert_bad to True did nothing. Tried that before posting here. I tried everything I could find on google.

Hi Wildgurl,
The configurations in your browser have somehow been reset but can be manually reset by doing the following.
1. Open Firefox browser
2. In the address bar type the following and press ENTER key:
about:config
After pressing enter you may see a warning window indicating the risk of doing this.
Click Accept to proceed.
3. You will now see a table with "Preferences" and their names.
In the filter box type the following:
browser.xul
4. Press ENTER to see a shorter list, one of which will read:
browser.xul.error_pages.expert_bad_cert
The value for that entry will most likely be set to "false"
Right-click on this entry to toggle the value to "TRUE"
5. With the new value being set to TRUE you now need to close Firefox and all open windows.
From here you can re-open FireFox and begin visiting pages that through the error at you.
When you visit such a page you will now see a button on the notification of the error that allows you to add that site as an exception to the rule. Once the site is added it wont throw the error again.
Note!!! You need to be very cautious when choosing to ADD a site to the exception list. Make sure BEFORE doing this you are confident the site is a safe website.
For example: Online banking sites, auction sites, shops SHOULD NOT be throwing such errors. If you get signature errors from these types of sites DO NOT add to exception list!!!
If you are for any reason not confident if manually taking control of this error, then it might be a wiser choose to uninstall your current version of Firefox and download a new copy.
