I'm trying to write a description of how I felt about someone.?

I admired, adored, treasured, worshiped, etc. I need one word descriptions for these such as "admirer" and so on. This isn't for homework. It's for a type of written eulogy for someone that I loved more than life itself. Please help me think of single words that describe me in terms of how I felt for this person (such as admirer, friend, etc.). Please feel free to throw out things I haven't mentioned. As I said, loved more than anything in life so something you throw out might be appropriate but something I may not have thought of. I want this to be special.

I adored this person. I cherished the time we had together. I treasure the memories.

"Worshiped" is a little too over the top.
