Where can i find and adopt an owl? (falconry)?

My barn owl has recently passed, it lived as a companion for 15 years. i seek to fill the gap and train another owl in the art of falconry. Any information will be useful as to where can i find and adopt an owl to teach and help put a good name to owls everywhere. Please do not lead me to a UK site or one of those "donation" adoption sites. Thank you!

The species of owl does not matter and all owls will get a personal visit from me before i make a decision.

Well that's new one as Barn owls are never ever used in falconry!

So I am inclined to believe this is coming from ether a Harry potter wannabee or a troll!

I cannot imagine why someone who owned an owl for 15 years has to ask on the YA pet bird section how to obtain an owl in the United Kingdom. If you can't figure out how to buy an owl in the UK then you prob shouldn't have one. Between zero & very few dedicated falconers from around the world use the YA Pet Bird section as a forum. Can't you please google search for yourself to find a forum in the UK for falconers or pet (ugh) owl people & for owls for sale in UK? I'm just say'n.

Not sure if they have an owl rescue anywhere but that's a starting place maybe a rescue of large birds or a FALCON club near you. Maybe try a zoo looking to re home any owls Or a large bird sanctuary.

Unless you have a license in falconry, you are out of luck unless you illegally raid an owl's nest and get a baby that you can raise to adulthood. Owls are protected in the US, as are all birds of prey, unless you have the falconry license or are an approved wildlife rehabilitator. And actually, I believe a falconry license applies to falcons only and not owls!

Dude, where did you get your first one? If you don't know the answer to your own question, how on Earth did you ever own one legally?

What country are you even in?
