Graphics Card Problem?

I plug in my card and hook the monitor to it, but no signal is going through.....then my PC repeatedly turns off and on by itself. I take out the card and plug the monitor to the default port and no problems what so ever. The card has been tested in another PC and works perfect. I have checked the settings in the BIOS as well. What is going on with this thing?? (Radeon HD 2600 Pro)

Update:

Power supply is good.

Before you install the new card, uninstall first the driver and software of your old graphics card/built-in video, then turn off your computer, install the new graphics card on empty slot, turn on the computer and enter in the BIOS, change the setting of graphics card to external card, save and exit. On windows install the new driver for your computer.

Make sure that your computer's power supply is strong enough for the card.
