It is very confusing to describe over typing so I hope you can stay with me. To prove triangles are congruent there are 6 methods S=side A=angle. 1. SSS 2.SsA 3.SAS 4.AAS 5. ASA 6. HL or hypotenuse leg for right triangles. So to start you know that <ABC is congruent to <ADC because they are both right angles. You also know that AC is congruent to AC because they are the same line. You only need one more piece of information. So you see the triangle
BCD. That triangle is isosceles because two of it's angles are congruent 1 and 2. So it also has to have 2 congruent sides so BC and DC are congruent so now you know three pieces of information. So triangle ABC and ADC are congruent because of SsA.
