How do I add a laptop to my wireless internet connection?
So my mom has a laptop and I'm trying to connect it to our wireless connection for her. When I put my mouse over the bars that are in the corner of my screen none of the available connections pop up. When I click it, it says connections are available. The only thing that pops up is Dial-up and VPN and Broadband Connection. I tried clicking broadband but it didn't help me at all. When I tried it, it said connection WAN Miniport. After a minute or two it says error 651: The modem (or other connecting device) has reported an error. At the bottom it said redial and close. I don't know what the error it because my internet works fine. When I connected the laptop I'm on now it joined no problem. What can I do to connect the other one?

check that the wifi is switched on on the laptop , there should be a switch somewhere on the front or side of it to turn wifi on/off, if there is no switch try pressing Fn + F2 together, this is the usual key combination to turn wifi on/off if there is no switch on the laptoip

you would possibly want to get telephone help from hp... yet what i'd do is replace your settings for the standby /hibernate decision do now no longer enable it use those applications also shrink the settings to spindown now no longer basic rigidity etc be functional they're off turn off the wake on contact from the community card also it is going to burn more advantageous means on your computing device yet will keep the relationship
