Did humans believe God when he said man would die if he disobeyed him?

They didn't and they still don't because they still believe the ancient lie; that God didn't mean what He said.

Shaitan or Iblis is what devil is, however the Christain and Muslim tale has a average difference. In Christianity, devil substitute into an angel of God, named Lucifer. He disobeyed God, fought against him with many different angels on his ingredient. God's forces have been led by way of angel Micheal and that they defeated the forces of Lucifer. So, in accordance to Christianity, there have been angels that became evil. Two things -

Adam understood death - the animals were dying naturally around him.

Adam was perfect - he had a perfect ability to understand what he was being told. No loving parent tells a child something and holds him responsible for what he does NOT understand. Our God is a loving God. He knew that Adam understood the consequences of disobedience.

But most importantly - because God is a loving Creator - there is NO hell fire. Hell is the grave.

Please look at Revelation 20:14 where it ties together death and hell, and then says they will BOTH be destroyed.

The wages sin pays is DEATH - eternal death. - Romans 5:12 and Romans 6:23.

The GIFT God gives is EVERLASTING LIFE in perfection. - also Romans 6:23, John 17:3

You don't know that God said that, you just know you read that in the Bible. A bible with hundreds of contradictions. A Bible that cannot even describe God without contradicting itself:

For one thing, the man made bible god began with a lie early one. It told Adam and Eve that they would die of they ate that fruit. Well, they did die, but it was 900 years later. LOL!
