Teens do the people you know judge you by what kind of things you have or what you get as gifts?

Some of the people I know are getting really mean because my family is a lot poorer than we were. They are always going on about the 'goodies' they get, and how much money their folks spend on them especially at the holidays and birthdays.

"You really are going to keep that old phone for a another year?: Don't you want the new I phone?

You aren't getting the I Pad? or a trip to Mexico or skiing for the holidays? "

Then they snort and I have noticed I don't get invited to do things as often. One of my really close friends said to me that I don't get asked because I probably wouldn't be comfortable because I don't have enough fun money. And my friends don't want to have to worry about treating me.

All this makes me feel bad and confused about my friends.

    They're not proper friends.

Proper friends wouldn't treat you like that, leaving you out and making you feel bad for not having as much money as them. These girls are spoilt and bitchy and you'd be best to find some new friends.
