They are always saying they are being "judged" and wallowing in self pity when faced with the consequences of their own bad behaviors.

Do they not realize that this shatters a parents trust, totally disappoints them and totally upset family life for years to come. Why do girls expect everyone to be cool with it? It is not that parents stop loving them, but their irresponsibility and self centered behavior really tears parents apart. They feel lied too, deceived,, angry, shamed, and worried about the future. All in one sentence "Mom I am pregnant."

I see all these posts about "It's MY life, no one should tell me what to do" in the teen sections. So what rights do teens believe they have, what do their parents 'owe' them

Not someone you already knew, but a kid who transferred in and was disabled.

What do you think your parents should do for you? How much do you think they do for you?

What obligations do you have to your family for the financial support they provide.

When No means NO and there isn't an alternative. Can be at home, school, with friends, or whatever.

Do you pitch fits, swear, throw things, or what?

People are always jumping on teen mom's so let's put the shoe on the other foot. What do teens think of women who Wait to get pregnant until their late twenties or thirties? Are they selfish? , Is being being able to afford a child such a big deal? what kind of Moms are they-many are not much younger than your mothers- do you think the child suffers if the mother has a career? What if they are married? Does that make them worse mothers? Let's hear what you think.

time management and partying and sex. where and how does a parent say ENOUGH-if this continues you move out.

what do you think wil be the most challenging parts of being on your own?

Kids are so cold and clinical about having sex these days. Do kids still fall for each other and want to be emotionally close and share intimacy even without intercourse. There seems to be no feeling about sex in younger people. It sounds like an after school activity that you just do and no one really cares as long as someone gets a climax. Weird..

of your old lives do you really really miss? Do you feel like your school friends really understand what

your life is like now? Would you enourage them to be single teen moms?

Not all will go to college. Does the idea of having a choice about how you live your life after HS scare you? how do you view the adult responsibilities you will have thrust on you. Is college just an extended way to be taken care of by your folks. Do you expect to remain at home after HS.

popular and being on the sports teams. I am a cheerleader and cute and popular. I want a guy that makes all the girls jealous of me. And he needs to have a hot car and money to spend on me too. I have been told I am a typical teen.

is it having your own apartment, making your own money being independent and deciding how you want to raise and educate your child on your own? FREEDOM! Going to school if you want to, when you want to, NO adults telling you what to do.Being able .finding childcare, so you can date on weekends, And having a sweet smiley baby to play with when you want.

It has to be so much fun!

Some of the people I know are getting really mean because my family is a lot poorer than we were. They are always going on about the 'goodies' they get, and how much money their folks spend on them especially at the holidays and birthdays.

"You really are going to keep that old phone for a another year?: Don't you want the new I phone?

You aren't getting the I Pad? or a trip to Mexico or skiing for the holidays? "

Then they snort and I have noticed I don't get invited to do things as often. One of my really close friends said to me that I don't get asked because I probably wouldn't be comfortable because I don't have enough fun money. And my friends don't want to have to worry about treating me.

All this makes me feel bad and confused about my friends.

Times are tough, money is tight. a lot teens get this. Some don't. So if the economy stole your Christmas this year how would you handle it.

is it common to be very overwhelmed and depressed as a single mother? What are the most challenging issues for you? Staying organized, keeping up on household chores, shopping, not getting a break, being tired all the time. Having to do it all yourself? Not getting enough support from your parents and friends?
