teens, what do you think of women who postpone motherhood until they are 30 plus?

No, they are smart. not knocking anyone that has a child at a young age, but waiting usually means you're more prepared, more mature and more financially able. Having a career means that you can afford to take care of your child and not have to rely on your parents etc.

Are they selfish? -- No, they just want to do other stuff after they leave education that doesn't involve having a family.

Is being being able to afford a child such a big deal? -- Uh...of course it is. If you aren't financially stable when you have a kid it could be a big problem; your child might miss out on some opportunities in life or they could get picked on.

do you think the child suffers if the mother has a career? -- Going back to the 1950s much, are we? Plenty of mothers have jobs and careers. They're not all housewives.

What if they are married? Does that make them worse mothers? -- What the hell?

Why would anyone want to bring a child into the world knowing that they couldn't properly provide for them? If someone wants to wait until they are over 30 to have a child then that's their choice. It doesn't make them selfish to want to be financially stable before having a baby. At all. Not everyone HAS to have kids.

it isn't a big deal with women postpone their motherhood until they are past thirty. it's either they are too busy, not ready or they couldn't be pregnant until then. they aren't selfish, they at least have their own reasons.

my mom wasn't pregnant with me until she as 34. my mom has been working full time since i was a few months old and i don't suffer. i'm used to it
