Having trouble thinking of a good surname?

I'm writing a book and i cant think of a name for my main characters. The man is a fairly average guy and the Girl (not related) is also fairly average. By average i mean not rich, not poor. The guy gets called by his surname a lot and i can't seem to find a good surname.

Girls name: Jennifer

Guys name: Craig

    OMG I know a couple named Jenifer and Craig! Her last name is Hopkins and his is Pomplas.
