My cat won't play with her new toys...?

My cat lost her absolute favorite toy and refuses to play with any other toy. I have tried to lace her toys with cat nip to entice her, even bought her 10 new toys of various sizes, texture, shapes etc. She refuses to play with them. She used to play fetch and have so much fun with that old toy (just a stuffing filled hackey sack smiley face) I bought her a new one and she won't even look at it. What can I do to encourage her to play with her new toys?

Update:

I bought her an exact copy of the toy she lost, she still refuses to play with it.

I have a small oval shaped plastic container with a little hole in it. I put a cat treat inside (like a dry cat biscuit or a little piece of meat, close the container, and let the cat roll it around on the floor and play with it. The smell is attractive to the cat and it will try to get it out, it becomes like a little hunting game and the cats love it. But you have to make sure the container is safe and cant be swallowed. You also have to take the treat out and give it to the cat if the cat can't open it. But this is a motivation for the cat to play. You could try that for a change.

You've already done it. I'm afraid kitties are like kids and they have their favorite items. You can go looking for the old toy or make a new one like it. My kitty had a chipmunk she'd carry around by the tail. Just keep up your efforts. Our kitties have a whole "toy chest" to choose from. It's a low basket and they fetch anything they find attractive out of it when they decide to play. Give her a variety and access and she should be playing again.

i've got had a number of cats who did no longer like toys in any respect after kittenhood, even although I even have not had one that could no longer be enticed with string/ribbons - the least complicated of toys. numerous the cats who lost interest in toys could play now and lower back while by myself, or at evening - the only data being that they have knocked a toy under the refrigerator or different furnishings to be got here upon plenty later. And rubbish is often greater relaxing, even for my cat who likes her save-offered toys. A present day in demand is an empty wrapping paper tube from yule - i've got not the middle to throw it out at this component. different favorites incorporate paper of all sort, cardboard boxes, rubber bands, bottle caps and puzzle products. yet my different cat, a lazy boy, likes purely string and mouse-on-string, and he will play with unfastened toy mice, yet purely while no person is calling - as quickly as you notice him, he stops.
