  • How would you handle this situation?

My significant other and I are not married and have 2 children together ages 8 and 7. I have a daughter from a previous relationship age 12. My significant other has and always will claim my oldest daughter as his child. He and I have been together since I was 6 months pregnant with her. He is the only father she has ever known. My family is fine with this situation, however, his family is not. His parents do not recognize our oldest daughter as part of the family and this really effects her now. For the last 12 years she has been treated as an outcast in his family functions. Most of his family has accepted her, but his mother refuses to treat her as she does his biological children. This has been a problem since the 8 year old was born. My oldest daughter has seen how the younger children are treated and doted over and has become upset over this several times in the past. I have talked to my significant other many times about this and he has told me time and time again that he can do nothing to change his mother's behavior. They are not unkind to my daughter in any way, they just treat her differently. It is almost a toleration instead of a family love. We have a family Christmas celebration every year at their house on Christmas Day. My oldest daughter has told me she really doesn't want to go. I think it is important that the whole family spend the day together as it is Christmas, but I don't want to force her to go somewhere that she feels uncomfortable and left out. Should I make her go or stay home with her? Either way, we won't be really happy. Sorry for the length of this question. I just didn't know how to sum it all up.

  • My cat won't play with her new toys...?

My cat lost her absolute favorite toy and refuses to play with any other toy. I have tried to lace her toys with cat nip to entice her, even bought her 10 new toys of various sizes, texture, shapes etc. She refuses to play with them. She used to play fetch and have so much fun with that old toy (just a stuffing filled hackey sack smiley face) I bought her a new one and she won't even look at it. What can I do to encourage her to play with her new toys?

  • Any advice on which brand of hcg drops to use?

After careful consideration of what the diet is and how it works, I have decided to try the hcg diet to loose some weight. I have tried normal dieting and exercise and only lost mass in my breasts and face, not the stomach and butt that I need to loose. I would like to know if any of you have tried the hcg diet and which drops worked the best for the best price.

  • What is involved in getting a bone density test?

A couple of weeks ago I injured my foot at work. The workman's compensation doctor has reviewed the xrays and determined that there is not a visible fracture. He, however is concerned because my foot still has a lot of swelling and it is very painful to stand, walk or even move my foot. He has decided that he is going to order a bone density test. What exactly is a bone density test and what is included in this test?

  • Looking at a 1978 Jeep Cj7?

I am looking at a Jeep cj7 and have a few questions I would like to ask but don't want the seller to take advantage of me. This jeep has a hard top. Does it come off, and if so is it difficult to get off? It has 108000 miles and is in fair to good condition and mechanically sound. Is it worth $2500? It will be a daily driver so off roading is not in the picture. Is this something I can haul my kids around in safely?
