    The dec is a letter written by members of the Continental Congress to King George III, telling him that they objected to certain things that the British government was doing.

    Quartering was one of those things

    The Dec essentially said "We don't like what you're doing so we are separating from you and starting our own country."

    The king said "Oh no you'e not" and sent soldiers.

    We had a war.

    That war was called the American Revolution,

    The British govt tightened control over the colonies by enacting the quartering acts, stamp acts, sugar act, currency act, etc, and all these contributed to the beginning of the revolutionary war
