What does it stand for?
I've heard the term Wi-Fi all the time but I don't know what it means. It offered all over te place even at McDonald's but that doesn't make me any more aware of what Wi-F is. Is there anyone out there that can tell me what Wi-i is? I don't care what it does I want o what it means.

The term Wi-Fi suggests Wireless Fidelity

Wi= wirless fi="fidelity" its a way to get on the internet without your computer being hooked up with wires

It doesn't stand for anything. The name was just chosen to sound like "Hi-Fi". But it doesn't actually stand for "wireless fidelity". What it means, for practical purposes, is wireless Internet access.
