British Army policy domestic violence?

I desperately need info of the armies policy on the perpetrators of this offence. So worried about a friend of mine who has just been arrested. I am in touch with the victim and offering all the help I can.

Update:

.He has just returned from Afghan in October. He went over there after only being married for 5 months and also being the father of a 3 month old daughter. So a lot of stress in a short time. I appreciate it was also stressful for his wife on her own with a young child and want to help them all in any way I can. Any information will be gratefully received. Thank you.

A very difficult question to answer. Whereas I admire your offer to help I think you had better tread carefully. There is undoubtedly an officer responsible for family welfare who, even if he or she is inexperienced in this sort of work (some are, some aren't) will have a host of other agencies to offer advice - e.g SSAFFA to call on for help. I think that perhaps your best approach might be to let your friend know that you are ready to help should she need to. Also try not to take sides unless there is blatant obvious abuse in the relationship. And whatever the outcome think first of the baby.

I doubt very plenty that the army might enable you get further than the recruiting workplace. relatives violence became a huge undertaking in the process my provider (finished 1982). For a time i became in touch with recruit decision and we did no longer settle for anybody with a commonplace background of relatives violence even nevertheless the provider became having subject recruiting and keeping squaddies.
