Ron Paul, Pres. Obama, 77% of Americans, and even 63% of Republicans support complete withdrawal from Iraq.?

Then why do all other Republican presidential candidates and most other Republican congressmen and women oppose getting our troops out of Iraq?

Update:

O.K. Jim. So Obama said he would withdraw our troops from Iraq when he ran for president. He then did so. How does that make him a liar?

Update 2:

Floyd, you're history has been confused by talk radio pundits apparently. Who told you that we gave defective weapons to terrorists in exchange for hostages? The Iran Contra took place long after the hostages were released. Get your facts straight before you justify your "Demovratic" anger.

Update 3:

Update 4:

Excellent quote Wolfpack. It's right on.

Update 5:

Viper, you also hit the nail on the head by identifying the millitary industrial complex as a very big problem. Now that the supreme court has granted these huge corporations "personhood" with constitutional rights and unlimited campaign advertising, your and my voices or contributions have become so small as to be ignored by politicians. Democracy is lost.

Shameless pandering to the kinds of people that vote in Republican primaries. If Obama is for it, well then they have to be against it.

Apparently they love government spending, so long as that spending will kill people and not provide healthcare, education, jobs, or anything else that's remotely useful.

Remember Iran Contra affair where we were giving weapons to terrorists for the safe return of hostages because a Democratic controlled Congress refused to do anything under Reagan and so we were busted fighting terrorism before it was the cool thing to do , they never did mention that all the weapons were defective grade alloys and would jam after the first firing and go watch the hearings you will see Democrat after Democrat saying that Terrorism is NOT a threat to the UNITED STATES AND Colonel Oliver North WAS EXAGGERATING THE RISKS INVOLVED WITH TERRORISM AND DID NOT NEED A MILLION DOLLAR SECURITY SYSTEM AT HIS HOME

Now what do you have to say Geniuses?

Source(s): Your fools if you don't leave troops as risky as it is to do so.What will you say when Alquada grows when we leave and attacks America again , will that be Bush's fault too ? P.S. I am Democrat and I am mad as hell and not going to take it anymore

Obama is for it because he wants to get re-elected. Ron Paul is for it because it undermines our national security to be over there occupying another country. We should mind our own business.

Other candidates want to continue the military industrial complex, war mongering military adventure.

    Who knows.

My favorite quote about wars and conservatives, "War has all the characteristics of socialism most conservatives hate: Centralized power, state planning, false rationalism, restricted liberties, foolish optimism about intended results, and blindness to unintended secondary results."

Withdrawal? That's what Obama said 4 years ago. He's a liar and anyone who believes him again is just plain dumb.
