Repent and be saved(no matter what?)?
I just want to know if most christians are of the mindset that believing in god is the only way to get into heaven. Do you all agree that a child molester can repent for his sins and accept god and be saved, but an atheist who has done wonderful things for people all their life will still go to hell?
Robert P- You obviously do not believe in a christian god.

Yes, repentance is that powerful! Paul killed Christians but he repented and God used him, very much. He wrote 13 books of the bible and become one of the best apostles. And I believe with one encounter with God an atheist would believe in God.

Believing in God has nothing to do with getting to heaven. A child molester can only be forgiven through the Sacrament of Penance/Reconciliation. An atheist does not go to hell simply for being an "atheist". Everyone will be judged on the good and the bad they have done in their life.

u cant get into heaven just by believing in God, even the devil believes in God. you have to repent and be baptized in Jesus name and just continue to let God live his life out through you.
but yes a child molester can repent, be baptized, change his life around and be saved. the onlything that is unforgivable is blasphemy of the Holy Ghost and suicide

I don't think God is so narrow minded that he would give such a horrible torture for such a small crime of disbelief.
