Do you happen to have a monitor you can hook it up to? That will tell you quick if it's the onboard video or the laptop screen.

Bad Motherboard or Display In laptop?

Just bought a laptop MB from ebay to replace the one that died after a spill.

replaced it...everything turns on to my luck but the display is all distorted...

Yep. Turns out its just the laptop display. External monitor looks fine. Thanks.
