Do wasps hibernate in the winter?
I am finding them in my wood pile alive even after the nightime temperatures are 20 deg F for over a week. Now when I bring in the wood I find a few wasps flying around. Even the ones outside among the logs are still moving sluggishly when disturbed.

Thats surprising, because wasps in fact die before winter comes. Although the fertilised queen lives on. Although Im pretty sure thats not a queen.
