Outfit Ideas for Dance routine..?

Hi, in January I have a Color Guard Showcase and its me and another friend (girl) and were dancing and doing flag and rifle work to a song by Florence + The Machine called "Dog Days are over" and its a really stress free and upbeat song but i need a costume for it and im at a lost :(....if you watch the video it might help you get ideas.. but remember it has to be appropriate, so it can be like tights, tank tops masks, capes, crazy makeup, whatever, just anything! Think "halloween" type costume sort of...so yea if you could pitch me ANY IDEAS AT ALL, it would be greatly appreciated :) thanks in advance :)

being in guard myself, the best advice is to make sure you can dance in it comfortably (so no strapless, or revealing dresses) and make sure its not too loose (so flag/rifle won't get caught!)

so honestly i'd stay away from dresses

i'd browse online to see what you can find from different websites

or go simple with cheer shorts, tights, and a cute shirt/tank (especially if you decorate the shirts or even the shorts yourself)

but they should pay attention to the routine not your outfit anyways so don't worry too much about going all out!

When I first heard the song, I thought of a plain white dress or an orange dress. After the song I thought about a dress that I had to wear for color guard. Search cottoncandycat12 color guard in youtube. The video is called Colorguard video. In there is a black and white dress that is really nice. These are some ideas. I hope this helps!
