How do I stop my Mac OS folder opening up on startup?

For some reason, my Mac OS folder keeps opening up in finder when I startup my mac and login.

I have checked the login items in system preferences but it isn't displayed on the startup items list. Is there a way to resolve this? It really getting on my nerves now.

    Try to go to System Preferences > Users > Login Items and select the folder that u want to stop from opening at startup then press the minus buttom
