What is "quick scoping" in mw3?

Its when you aim in your scope and shoot immediately.

A Hard Scope is when you aim in your scope, hold your breath and take your time to kill someone. If you ever use a Sniper. Then you most likely Hard Scoped.

People do it, because they assume they are good. Its tricky to achieve a quick scope. So when someone quick scopes you. Its pretty much a slap in the face.

Also, they do it, so they can put there gameplay on youtube.

There is no benefit to it at all.

its when you hold the left trigger for a brief moment and right when you see the scope shoot the benifit is that if you are in close combat your sniper is a 1 hit kill but if you fail you are likely to die most people just go on the map dome with there friends and quickscope for fun its a good passtime

It's the same thing it's been cod4. People do it because a) it's fun and b) it's hard to do in a regular match people use it to show off. Although if you're really good at it, it's great to kill people with one shot at any range. Pro quick scopers are unstoppable.

It's what losers do because they can't manage to play for real and need unrealistic glitches to have fun.
