pc or laptop for university ?

my laptop has just broken and it is a year away til uni, this could be my chance to buy a pc or just buy another laptop. i was thinking of a macbook pro for the laptop and not really sure with the pc but i want it for things like pro desktop, photoshop and cad software, along with online entertainment e.g. 4od. basically whatever i buy i will use for evrything which makes me think about mobility ? say a 13 inch macbook pro may not be as powerful as a pc for the same price but i will be able to put it in my bag without carrying it around, take it out in classes or lectures whenever. just think that sounds easier ? what do you think i should do ? also if i have a pc and dont want to leave it in my flat in holidays it will be a hassle taking it back and fourth on the train so it doesnt get stollen, even tough its going to benefit me more power wise. help !

get a laptop. there are ones that stay charged for a long............... time and there energy saver ones too! also there small ones that can go any where. also pc can take up a lot of space in your new room. with a laptop you can slide it under your bed. more space for geusts.

I would say for your needs is to get a decent laptop, and if your not a brand fan of apple or microsoft id find a laptop with windows as they tend to be more powerful for less cost. All this is dependent on what you have or are willing to spend. Now anymore a $500-600 laptop will be just as good as a pc of the same price. Just browse around newegg.com or tigerdirect.com and pick out one you like that'll work.

Laptop -- it's mobility will outweigh the performance of a desktop.
