Y!A Cyclists: What cycling related thing did you buy for yourself?

Nothing, I already bought all that I need when I need it.

I bought all that I needed when I needed it.

That included....

New disc-specific wheelset and Avid BB7s. I was fed-up with v-brakes on my local mtb trails.

A new bike. My old mountain bike died after meeting the rocks and trails up here, and I got a great deal on the new bike from a teammate.

New race kit. I'm racing for my school team now, so I had to buy a new team jersey and bib shorts.

New helmet. I didn't feel safe using the old one after a nice crash I had over the summer.

A new wheelset for my fixed gear. That was actually a gift sent to me by a really cool dude on the mountain bike forum that I frequent.

All told, that cost just about $1000. I have no money left over, but I have all that I could want now and it satisfies me.

BTW, those are just the big expenses. I don't want to think about how much I spend on smaller components.

I treated myself to a brand new bike seat. It is from the Fizik brand and I bought it from here. Really good quality and extra comfy. I would fully recommend one.

i did pull a perfectly good used tire and 2 tubes out of a bike store dumpster

A new chain, cassette, and front rings. Drive train is just about shot.

Shimano winter road shoes.

New frame, fork, headset, and front wheel.

Getting new cranks, bottom bracket, and stem in a couple months.
