I need someone to design and draw my new kitchen. I have a builder - just need?
a person to have the vision to create the drawing and to "see" the finished project from my description. What is that person called?
I have searched on 'kitchen designers' 'architects' 'remodelers' and the like both online and locally in the yellow pages, but am finding only people who want to design and build.
Just need the designer. Where do I look, and what am I looking for?

Go to a kitchen store. Or if you have patience go to Home depot. They will usually only release the drawing when you give a down payment for the kitchen cabinets. Home depot will make you wait over 4 weeks for a cabinet even if they say 2 weeks and generally you will have a damaged or missing cabinet which will in turn delay you another 4 weeks. Best do a search for a kitchen cabinets store in your area .
