Metal Fans: Darkest sounding band?
For me its got to be Necrophobic... maybe they aren't notorious outside of music as a band like Mayhem, Dissection or other bands like that, but whenever i listen to one of their albums, i get that dark/evil atmosphere in their songs...could be just me, but of all the bands i listen to, I can't think of a band that tops them

and i just picked up a more recent album Hrimthursum, which although is alot newer and better production than The Nocturnal Silence, that same dark sound is still ever present

***Wakemeup: i'd definitely agree with Dark Fortress and Obtained Enslavement...i've never really thought of Enoid in the same way though

I love 'em too, favorites are Darkside and Hrimthursum

MA: Great band, they never fail to provide strong atmosphere and intensity, and even some excellent melodic moments. Pretty dark in their own right, but perhaps not the darkest I've ever heard.
