Why does my Dachshund do this?
Some times in the middle of the night, I wake up and my Dachshund is laying on my chest staring at me. Right in my face. Kind of like he is watching me sleep. I think he is plotting my demise. Why does he do this?

My mom breeds Dachshunds an its their thing he may need to go to the bathroom though but most the time they will try to sleep between your legs beside you or one of my moms dogs sleeps on the pillows literally on her head maybe sleepin on your chest is his/her thing...

your dog might be comfortable knowing your sleeping with him. dogs love their owners and owners usally love their dogs and don't want them to get hurt or anything like that so it can also be for protective reasons.
