Is the New England defense- unfairly treated?
Ranked 32nd in yards yet 13th in points allowed... My theory is the number 3 top scoring offence demands the other team to primarily throw thus increasing total yards. 3 passing downs to keep up with NE 30+ pts. This would amount to more yards being given up.. As a result the real test for this defense is the fact it gives up the 13th least amount of points. which to me is a far better stat than yards

They gave up over 200 yards to one of the last ranked offenses in the 1st quarter. They're not overrated or underrated.

Ive been trying to preach this all season. Im glad someone else has put this statistic in perspective
