Door locking problem VW Golf MK4?
When I click my key fob to unlock my car the passenger side doesn't activate.
Is this an easy fix?
If somebody could point me in the direction of a step by step guide on taking my door apart I'd be very happy. So happy that I may send you cake. :)
Thanks

You will need a new door lock.
It is not a simple job unless you know what you are doing.
Get a mechanic to do it.
£150.00 approx.

This is a common problem to fix this issue involves replacing the door locking unit £109 inc vat from vw. Here is a easy guide that i found on the net for a customer a while back it gives you detailed pictures.

Before undoing the door locking unit bolts make sure you mark the bolt positions otherwise the new lock wont be lined up properly and will snag the striker causing the door to not open correctly.

Common fault with Mk4 Golfs. Have a look on the appropriate forum (Google it) or buy a Haynes manual, it's far too long a process to type out in detail here, even for a cake, sorry.
