Laptop problem with cpu?

It says 2.20 GHz but 3.10 on turbo boost,what's turbo boost?

Update:

I meant it was a problem because I didn't know what it was :P

    the latest craze from intel to extend battery life.

    youmay be able to adjust the settings in your BIOS.

    when the pc is over stretched, it boosts its speed else

    it tries to go slow to save battery
