Where is the best place for an American to rent skis and ski in Switzerland?

I will be in Switzerland for a week in January on business, traveling from the German alps area near Kempten across through Zurich then to Basel. I'd like to stop and ski somewhere for a day, but I'll only have two days available at most and will not have a car. I'm an intermediate skier, used to some US Midwest and Colorado mountains. I don't want to haul my own skis around for the business trip, so I need to find somewhere where the rentals are very convenient. Even better if there is a train station, hotel, etc. all in walking distance.

The train at Klosters stops pretty much at the bottom of the gondola. I'm not quite sure where the rental place is but it can't be far, and there are lots of hotels (but we've often just done a day-trip (by train) from just outside Zurich to ski there). It's also stunning and you might bump into royalty (I never have).

Pizol is even closer, but you have to take a bus (which is fine, just sayin') from Sargans and the view isn't as nice as Klosters/Davos (to be honest, it's been foggy almost every time I've been). I think it's cheaper though. They're less likely to speak English.

    I vote Klosters.
