If I were a white person born in Africa,?

and I moved to America, would I then be an African American?

Update:

OK nit pickers. I am saying that if I were born to a white family who are african citizens and then I moved here and became a citizen, wouldn't that make me an African American? How simple is this question?

Update 2:

confident and no. many times they'd be mentioned as Kenyan-American, South African-American, etc based upon the rustic in Africa. working example The president's father exchange right into a Kenyan. Had he exchange right into a citizen he would have been a Kenyan-American of African descent. The white singer, Roger Whiakker exchange into additionally born in Kenya. he's a British citizen now to boot as a Kenyan citizen. Had he exchange into an American he would be a Kenyan-American of ecu descent.

Why does geography matter. I was born in baltimore city does that make me Baltimore Country because I have lived in the counrtry for the past 23 year or should I go by the county name or the town name. Stop being so ridiculous. We are not our geography.

my grandmother in law was born of Sardinian parents in Africa and later legally became a US citizen. she is more, and i hate this hyphenated sh!t, african-american than the vast majority of whiners in our country

when all was said and done, she considers herself American first. there are millions who can learn from that.

No, you'd still be an African.

Think about just how dumb your question actually is....if you were born in Florida, but went to live in Belgium, would that make you Belgian?

    Silly goose!
