Lee said McClellan was the best general he faced. Did he explain why?

    McClellan was a non-effective General that always over-stated the size of the enemy forces. Lincoln finally wised up and relieved him of his command. He was the best thing that ever happened to the CONFEDERATE forces.

    If he said this, I can only surmise that he meant that the Confederate cause was best served when McClellan commanded the Federals.
