If you had the perfect mare...?

So, hypothetical breeding time.

You have your ideal mare. Perfect for you in every way. Bloodlines to die for, built like a dream, attitude of a saint, and always cleans up the ribbons.

You have all the proper knowledge, money, and time to breed her. What stallion would you choose? Why would you pick him?

Really, I just want to know everyone's favorite stallions (because I know we all have one on the inside).

Well, no mare and no stallion is absolutely perfect. I need something to go off of, so I can choose a stallion that complements a specific mare's traits. I spend most of my time dreaming about what stallion I would choose if I were to ever breed my own mare, Ursula. Ursula is a 17.1 hand Shire/Thoroughbred cross. I know her strengths and weaknesses, so I shop for stallions that would complement my own mare. Ursula is well-built and healthy with no conformational "faults". She has a lovely, long, elastic stride, and a willing temperament. However, she is a bit drafty all over, longer through the back than I like, and could have more suspension, and a little more energy. If I were looking for a stallion for her, I would choose something lighter (to breed away from the draftiness), something compact, with an elastic stride and perfect suspension and a bit more stamina. Here are my favorites:

Keep in mind that I am in no way serious about this. I do not plan to actually breed Ursula. Not only can I not afford it, but I wouldn't have time for another horse, and I always feel like breeding is such a gamble. You never know what you're REALLY going to get. It is fun to dream though!

I have the perfect mare for me. A 15 YO Paso Fino that has no record of her bloodline, built like a sherman tank, ask me what to do and I will attitude, and has probably never seen the inside of a ring at showtime, so would probably try to eat a ribbon.

I have the knowledge, money isn't a problem, and I have from now till I push up daisies to breed her.

At present she's bred too a TWH/Standardbred speed racking stallion, but I won't be keeping the foal. It was sold before she was serviced. I will breed her in 2013 or 2014 too as friends gaited donkey and raise the mule for me.

Why does everything have to have ancestry leading back too the Garden of Eden to be considered worthy of breeding.

Around here, we want doing horses, and the only purpose papers would serve is as a substitute for Charmin.

Well I really want to breed my mare to Judge Cash hopefully next year as she would cross GREAT with him. Her bloodlines are ones that would cross good with his, his big bone would add bone to the foal. ect.

    But my favorite stallions are....

    Judge Cash

    Dats A Frenchman

    Jet of Honor

    Corona Cartel

    Guys Easy Jet

    Biankus

    Treis Seis

    Dash Ta Fame

    A Streak of Fling

I have loads more lol, and if I had a mare that would cross with each I would breed to them lol. They all throw amazing babies.

My ideal mare would also have the power to raise horses from the dead, and we would bring Hollywood Dun It back so that he could breed her.

    EDIT:

Okay wait. That came off as creepy, didn't it?

Let's change that to an alive stallion. I really like the looks of this dude:
