Cooking duck for Christmas?
My husband wants duck for Christmas and he also wants it wrapped in bacon. I will probably follow the instructions on the ducks package (I bought it from a grocery store) but does anyone have any bacon wrapped duck recipes or advise?

Usually the bacon treatment is done to a whole de-boned duck or duck breast. It can be stuffed with a wild rice based stuffing(pre cooked) then roasted in a hot oven. I wouldn't try this for Christmas dinner unless you have done it before and have it figured out. Maybe order him a Peking duck from a Chinese restaurant or make a prime rib roast. Doing duck just right the first time it really tough to do. Good Luck.

I'm making the same thing for the first time too! I'm just following Emeril's recipe on foodnetwork.com. doesn't say anything about bacon, but I'm just improvising. Risotto, brussels sprouts & spinach w/carmelized onions for sides! Good luck with yours!
