Do Canadians hate immigrant people?

I am a future international student from Nicaragua and I have been accepted into a Canadian college in Hamilton, ON. I was reading a few blogs and news sites and the overwhelming hate for immigrant people just made cringe, the most liked comments are generally attacks and accusations to immigrant people.

For example Iranian student Fatemeh Kamkar who suffers from Cancer and would like to stay in Canada, I saw an article on this and people were just hating on this woman, comments like "We have scientist everywhere we dont need her, send her back to Iran" I mean cmon how human is that?, ok if she is stumping over Canadian law then its understandable but atleast dont treat her like something that is disposable "We dont need her"...this comments has 8 likes....

So my question is do Canadians really hate immigrants so thoroughly its frightening and I think Im reconsidering spending my money elsewhere, because I really don't need anymore hate from the one im suffering in this awe full country(Nicaragua).

I am an immigrant since the 80s and have not met with hate. The point is, Canadians do not like people who try to cheat the Immigration system. If you are accepted on a Student Visa you still have to have medical insurance. Also being a student does not automatically make you eligible for Permanent Residency. All kinds of people have entered the country under false pretences, like Somalian warlords and their huge families. This behaviour makes things difficult for genuine applicants.

Pay no attention to people's comments on the internet, it is full of malcontents. Only the grouchy tend to leave comments.

Do not let the dribbles of the internet deter you from coming to Canada.

Except for the First Nations, Canada is a nation of immigrants.

Once here, I would bet you would be pleasantly surprised on how well you will be received.

Regarding, the Iranian student Fatemeh, many nations would of booted her out immediately, in Canada

her case will be appealed and that alone can take years while she remains in Canada. She does have support from many people who will gladly say that to your face rather than the haters who hide behind a keyboard.

Regardless where you're from, there are haters everywhere, except in Canada it isn't socially accepted hence " the hiding keyboard haters."

Once you're in Canada, as a Nicaraguan, the only thing you would really have to worry about is the winter snow.

    Bienvenidos a Canada amigo.

well, i can say that if you go anywhere, and immigrate legally that many people will have no problem with you. Illegal immigrants take alot of heat for obvious reasons. But as a student, i think that you will have little criticism.

Canadians over the internet, same as many people around the world, are completely different people. Annoying spiteful, arrogant, and cruel over the internet because youre not facing them in person and they cant suffer consequences. Such is the way of the internet. But you shouldnt have as many problems as you see.

Also, youll see alot of a new-found arrogance among Canadians across the board. They have been thinking so highly of themselves lately. It honestly doesnt matter what those kinds of people think, about Americans or immigrants or anyone. Dont let them get to you. I dont, and ive seen enough America-bashing and hateful rants to fill a lifetime.

People everywhere need to just shut their traps and have at least a little respect for a person. If that person starts flaming you, no matter what country he is from or what he says, Just ignore him. His ideas are stereotypical and ridiculous. who cares. I dont. I have Canadian friends. Theyre great people. They aren't arrogant and dont judge a book by its cover without looking inside first. And t

i'm no longer against immigration, i'm against unlawful immigration. i'm desirous approximately dumping 1000000000 funds a twelve months to boost the immigration equipment to allow greater human beings to pass into this u . s .. yet in actuality that as quickly as someone comes here illegally, he's spitting contained in the face of each and all and sundry who filed the place of work work, paid the expenses, and took the time to return here legitimately. additionally, illegals do no longer only the the "jobs no person else desires to do". there is not any activity that "no person else desires to do." i could be completely keen to %. fruit contained in the nice and comfortable solar all day to place foodstuff on the table. yet cheating employers hire illegals so as that no longer only do no longer they might desire to pay the taxes, yet they might pay them under minimum salary, the place you have a dozen mexicans residing in a 2 mattress room apartment because of the fact they might't discover the money for to do otherwise. i do no longer provide a damn some white "race" as you call it, and taking part in the race card gets you nowhere. it is not approximately race, that is approximately dignity, admire, and standards. legal electorate are secure via a definite wide-unfold, unlawful immigrants are actually not. returned, i'm desirous approximately dumping extra money into immigration to allow greater human beings come here LEGITIMATELY, yet coming here illegally and searching over your shoulder something of your existence isn't the respond.

A student is not an immigrant.

A student is in a foreign country to study then go back to his home country.

If you intend to use your study as a step to immigration that already looks a bit shady.

Not only Canadians but any other people would dislike anyone who tries to mislead them.

Nope, just Americans and hate is too strong of a word for it.

-not that we don't deserve it, I'm told we're arrogant in comparison. I look around at other americans and I can't really disagree.
